                Berevert doesn't show his emotions nor overreacts often. He's not very good in using expressions either as he is more of a literal guy. Most of the time he can be indifferent with most things (and people) and will ignore easily things that doesn’t draw his interest. Still, he can be curious about the world, especially about humans behaviors and feelings, and eager to learn. His curiosity makes him excited when he discovers or experience new things.
He can be quite greedy with things that he owns or things he want to have; he is always wanting more. He lacks empathy to certain actions and choices he make; his capacity of feeling guilt, regret and compassion are limited and easily turned off. Also he's the type of person that once he made up his mind about something he will stick with it even when wrong. Although untrusting by default, he can be loyal to the people he admires or look upon to.

  Berevert was born in war or more precisely was created. He doesn't know which one, because at the time, he didn't even know that wars had names. He was created as a result of the combination of two sins: greed and gluttony. His creators were humans, not just one , but several of them. His creators were those who made war for power, money, or other selfish reasons.
For decades he just wandered in wars without participating. He was only an observer. An observer that found easy food on the bodies of the unlucky ones. He was never visible to people, except for those close to death or a few gifted ones. He could have made himself visible for anyone, but just didn’t do so. For many years, he didn’t have a human form and didn’t even wanted to have one; he despised humans and their nonsense world.
His first real interaction with a human occurred when he saw a little girl crying over her dad’s body. Somehow the girl could see him and wasn't afraid. He then found a reason to have a human form and started to look after the girl. Julie was her name and it was thanks to her that Bel got a taste for books. It didn't last though as Julie changed dramatically as she grew. She changed so much that he couldn't even recognize her anymore; she had been contaminated and was reminding him of everything he hated about humans. He ended up killing her as he couldn't bare what she had become.
After Julie's death he went back to wandering around and not just wars anymore, but the whole world. He wasn't just an observer anymore as he wanted to learn and experiment everything. He found himself more hungry then ever as there was still a lot he didn't comprehend and he had a need to fill the emptiness he was feeling inside. He found himself amongst the humans that he hated, learning their costums, participating in their community, and from time to time, hunting them for need and/or for fun. It was at this time that he became interested in human emotions, especially fear. Eventually, though, even that life started to get boring; their costums became repetitive, even the dirty ones, and he needed change.
The circus was one of the first things in a long time that got his attention. After visiting the diamond tent he was sure he had found his place. He started working there as a maneater; it was great having free food and being able to scare people at the same time. In other words: he was living the dream. It was while he was at the circus that he met a bunch of interesting characters and also, Chika, the woman he fell for. It came a time when together they decided to take a leave of the circus and search thoroughly for Chika's precious and long lost kimono. They weren't able to find the thing, but at least gathered more information at where it could be. After the long search they retuned to the cirque, not giving up on the kimono, but going back once again to a place they could call home.

Kes- He was teaching the little griffin how to read. Bel likes him a lot and he was happy to help.
Zharina- A good friend and one of the first persons he met on the cirque.

♕   M I S C/O t h e r  I n f o r m a t i o n:

-Sometime his curiosity can become a sick thing or get the best of him.
-He collects all types of skulls.
  -The skin on his maxillae tends to degenerate depending on his hunger; sometimes it can become all bones.
-His eyes tends to turn fully black when his feelings are completely turned off.
-He has more teeth than humans and they are much sharper, too, but they are pretty normal when he isn't feeding.
-When he is hungry, he becomes really moody.
  -He rarely changes into his demon form, because he is more comfortabe in his human shape.
-He can hide features like his horns and tail at will, but can't control the marks on his face. So, he sometimes uses bandages to cover them up.
